Founded in 2005, CV Draft & Military Counseling Network works to help those who want to prepare for the possibility of facing a military draft as well as those in the military as they consider their options and rights as they look for ways to disengage from the military.
Our initial function, as a group, was to participate in a 2-day training program led by J.E. McNeil of the Center on Conscience & War. We resolved to seek out those who may need to be considering their options and provide them with access to the information they need to prepare for the likelihood of a draft. Our services are provided free-of-charge, and we welcome those considering conscientious objector status as well as those seeking other forms of exemption from military service. Our volunteers include includes lawyers trained in this field. | ||
